DESCRIPTION:

DiveMax® AIR is a fast and incredibly simple mobile dive planner that
provides safe dive plans for recreational divers who plan their own
dives. It also allows the user to modify the plan in real-time.

Picture yourself on the deck of a dive boat. It’s a sunny morning and
the ocean is calm and inviting. You and your diving group are getting
ready to jump in the water. The others pick up their RDP tables, pens
and papers and start calculating their first dive. You take your
smartphone, open DiveMax® and with a few simple finger strokes plan
safe dives for the whole day within just 20 seconds. You and your
buddy can hit the waters before the others have even finished planning
their first dive.

Picture yourself back on the boat after the first dive. You followed a
turtle a little deeper than you had planned or stayed a bit longer in
the maximum depth, so now you need to modify the plan for the
following dives. While the others need to erase the old plans and
start over with the RDP tables, you go back to your DiveMax® plan and
simply move the first diver according to the executed dive, and
DiveMax® automatically calculates the effects on the subsequent dives.
With the updated dive plan quickly taken care of, you can take it easy
and enjoy the break until it is time to dive again.

EASY & INFORMATIVE
Simply touch the diver with your finger to move him; DiveMax®
immediately calculates the effects in real time and shows them in an
informative graph. DiveMax® also clearly indicates when your plan is
safe and executable.

SAFE
Calculations on effects of nitrogen pressure in tissues are based on
Dr. Albert A. Bühlmanns decompression algorithm, the same algorithm
used in dive computers.

ACKNOWLEDGED
In November 2012, DiveMax® won the Quality Innovation of the Year Competition.

Previously known as DiveX, the application was awarded as the best
mobile sports application in the global Calling All Innovators 2011
competition.

LEGAL NOTE

Always use back-up instruments when diving. Make sure that you use
backup instrumentation including a depth gauge, submersible pressure
gauge, timer or watch, and have access to decompression tables
whenever diving.

Latest reviews of DiveMax AIR Dive Planner app for iPhone and iPad

Simple and useful
Very nice and easy to use. Also seems accurate but I cannot say the same thing for nitrox app
Slow refresh on iPad 1
First, this had a very unresponsive / slow refresh rate on my iPad 1, even when I quit all open programs and restarted the device. Strange thing is it works perfect on iPhone 3Gs. Other than that I would say it seems to work as it says it does. The only question I had about this app is whether or not it was compatible with NAUI recreational tables or what. Im a brand new diver, so maybe I dont understand the tables fully, but my understanding is that US Navy tables are more liberal, and NAUI tables are more conservative. So looking at the app, I wasnt sure if it would comply with NAUI recommendations or not -- which I think will be important for my upcoming dive trip with my instructor and fellow students. Just a thought -- maybe that should be noted in the description. Recommendation for future releases -- maybe flesh out the logbook functionality -- allow you to use iPhones current location to geotag the screenshots, or otherwise record and map all previous dives by GPS location. Just a thought. Otherwise seems to be a great price on a great app.
Useless for nitrox
Graphics are nice, but does not allow you to use different o2 levels.
A little more info would be great
While this is a noble attempt to help divers plan, it doesnt provide the diver with nearly enough information. It puts a safety stop in every single dive and doesnt allow you to plan a multilevel dive at all. It doesnt tell you your actual bottom time, nitrogen level, or provide you with a required safety stop when doing multilevel diving. It would be even more functional if it had a log function where a diver could see the dive stats laid out in a log form. Truthfully I feel a little cheated for the price I paid.
Bad app
This app just have a nice graphs, but its your content are poor, I want my money back
